A new music festival which sold out in four days saw 1200 punters take over Alexandra Headland in November 2024 Bluff Fest brings Aussie surf-rock legends The Grogans and The Terrys to Alex Surf Club last November 30.
Local bands Shag Rock, Nana’s Pie, Emily Rink Band, Brook St and Karlou also performed. It’s the first festival of its kind for Alex Surf Club, forming part of the club’s 100-year celebrations. Bluff Fest is expected to be an annual event and will raise vital funds to keep the beach safe.
The Lexus Maroochydore Bluff to Bar is the newest addition to Queensland’s Open Water Swimming Calendar, to be held annually at the Alex Surf Club.
Located on the picture perfect Sunshine Coast in Queensland, the course covers 1.2km, starting from the Alexandra Headland Bluff and finishing at the Alex Surf Club, offering a perfect blend of challenge and scenic beauty.
Organized by Alex Surf Club, this event is more than just a swim — It’s a key fundraiser that supports the club’s vital Surf Life Saving programs and initiatives.
