Garry Green joined the Club and gained his Bronze Medallion in 1963. As an active surf lifesaver he became Club Captain in 1980 and was Club Vice Captain in the mid 1960’s. Garry was one of a small number of active  members who kept the Club going in the 1960’s and 1970’s including travelling from Brisbane on weekends. Garry was an outstanding fundraiser for many years and also a very proficient surf boat competitor.

 

He was awarded Life Membership in 2012 for his service to the Club.
